If you get poor print quality

A
Firstly please replace with another cartridge and print several pages. If the poor print quality is still there, it is most likely printer problem. If the problem disappear, in turns to be cartridge problem.
Q

"Non-genuine cartridge is installed, continue?" message

A
Warning is set by the printer manufacturer; just click YES. There is no impact to the printer and print quality.
Q

Why the color on the printouts is not exactly same as displayed on the computer screen?

A
Various monitor drivers produce slightly different color scheme, so the colors displayed on the computer screen will always slightly differ from the printouts. You could try to make an alignment, but donn’t forget that each program uses slightly different driver so each color scheme would be in due cause.

"Toner Low" message

A
The message "Toner Low" indicates that the toner cartridge is approaching the end of its expected life,you can continue to print until the print quality is no longer acceptable or when the message "Replace Toner" is displayed on the LCD.

Printer shows "Drum End Soon"

A
When the LCD or the status monitor displays the message "Drum End Soon”, you can still continue to print until you find the print quality is no longer acceptable or when the message "Replace Drum" is displayed, then replace with new drum unit.
Please follow the instruction of OEM to replace the new drum.

Paper Jam

Please follow the steps below to solve the problem,
NOTE: Illustrations shown below are for representative product and may differ from your machine.
1 .Open the front cover and leave the machine cool down
2. Slowly take out the drum unit and toner cartridge separately. The jammed paper may be pulled out during taking out drum unit and toner cartridge or this may release the paper so you can pull it out from inside of the printer.

Periodic lines or points on printout

Extraneous impurity may cause periodic lines or points on the output, please place the cartridge with the opening section downward to make the extraneous impurity drops out

If you get blank print out

A
1. please check whether the sealing tape is pulled out before installing the cartridge
A broken OPC shutter door will stop image to be transferred from the OPC to the paper. The laser bean cannot reach the OPC if the laser door inside the printer doesn’t open, so there wonn’t be discharge on OPC and no toner powder be transferred.

Chip of compatible toner cartridge can't be recognized

A
If your printer runs smoothly and you want to continue using KST or any other third-party high cost-effective products in the future, we recommend you to turn off automatic upgrade function to say no to firmware upgrades.

Cartridge can't be recognized

A
1. take the cartridge out from the printer, check the cartridge chip and the contact point in printer, clean the chip and the contact point with a dry cloth or paper tissue if necessary and then reinstall.
2.If no chip in the cartridge, please check whether the technical gear is installed properly, and reset it by following the instruction on our website
3. For some brands such as Samsung/Lexmark, the original manufacturer frequently update the hardware, old chip can’t work on updated version, please contact your sales manager for a new updated chip.
4. Please check the compatibility list if the cartridge can be used for this printer. Sometimes Extra large capacity cartridge can’t work on printers which use lower capacity.
5. To avoid the aftermarket competition, some brands such as Lexmark and HP, their chip technology is getting more and more complicated to new models, with many serial numbers. If error code occur if you use same serial number chip on same printer,you need to replace with a new chip or another cartridge.

Installation failed

1. Please check whether the protection shield is removed or not open.
2. for some models, we produce universal version or patent version, the structure will have small difference from original, it may have some interference during installation, please install following the instruction on cartridge or in box.

30 months for new compatible new inkjet cartridge is 30 months
